Born and raised in Yakutia, the coldest and most remote region of Siberia, where his Ukrainian grandfather’s and Russian grandmother’s family was exiled in the 1930s, Alexander’s fascination with photography began at the age of nine, when he first laid his hands on his grandfather’s FED-2 film camera. Since that pivotal moment, his life has been inextricably intertwined with the art of capturing moments in time.

Never-ending odyssey
Twenty years ago, driven by his childhood dream of exploring the world, Alexander bid farewell to a thriving photo-business and left behind the frigid climes of Yakutia in pursuit of a new chapter of his life in the lush tropical jungles of Australia. There, he completed a postgraduate degree in business (MBA) with high distinction. After spending some years in the country, his relentless devotion to photography and his unquenchable thirst for adventure proved to be the driving forces that impelled him to leave behind the confines of the world of measured tediousness to embark on a never-ending odyssey.
Focus on Indigenous People
Traveling alone to the most remote and inaccessible corners of the world, Alexander seeks out Indigenous ethnic groups, learning about their cultures and traditional ways of living. For him, this has been the most awe-inspiring experience of his life’s journey, fueling his unwavering dedication to preserving and celebrating the rich tapestry of traditional cultures around the world for future generations.
Global citizen by choice
Alexander is often being asked about his nationality. Despite the common notion of dividing the world into artificial pieces called countries, he strongly believes that the world is one and for all.
