Alexander Khimushin is a photographer who is known for his portraits of people from all over the world, particularly those from Indigenous communities. In 2018, he was invited by the United Nations Commission for Human Rights to participate in the Stand Up for Human Rights campaign to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. As part of this campaign, Khimushin created a collage of his portraits, which was featured in various events around the world. Other photographers, including Steve McCurry, also participated in this campaign. The goal of the campaign was to raise awareness about the importance of human rights and to encourage people to stand up for them.
