In 2019, Alexander Khimushin designed the cover of the “Indigenous World 2019,” which is a comprehensive book on the rights of Indigenous Peoples published by the International Work Group of Indigenous Affairs in Copenhagen. The book covers a range of topics related to the rights of Indigenous Peoples, including land rights, self-determination, and cultural preservation. The cover that Khimushin designed featured a striking portraits of Indigenous People. These portraits were a part of his The World in Faces photo project.

Event

The book launch at the United Nations

The launch of the book was held on April 25, 2019, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, during the 18th Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. The event was attended by representatives from Indigenous communities around the world, as well as members of the United Nations and other international organizations. The book has since been widely distributed and is considered an important resource for anyone interested in indigenous rights and issues.
