It’s been quite a bit of work to put it all together, even though it doesn’t look like much. Everybody these days use social networks, so it’s questionable if we need personal websites anymore. My old website was totally crushed by a hacker attack almost 6 months ago and I had neither time nor ability to restore it. The main reason I decided to build a new one from scratch is The World in Faces project.
During 2014-2015 My Planet TV (Russia) website published over 200 of the project photos that received a lot of positive feedback from Russian people. However, it appeared that local media are so isolated by a language barrier that even a simple Google Search in English did not bring me any result on my projects. I realised that I self-isolated my project too. Now I feel that I should’ve gone international long ago. Coming back from 3-month-long trip I have a bit of time to give it a try. I hope that The World In Faces can be interesting to much wider international community.
While this website features some photos, there are much more portraits that haven’t been published anywhere. I will start adding one portrait a day on newly created instagram and facebook pages listed below.
